1. Who We Are
ScanHonest is built and maintained by Afzal Qamar, an independent developer based in India. I built this app with a strict privacy-by-design philosophy: your documents belong to you, and I have intentionally engineered the app so that I have zero access to your data.

2. What We Collect
We collect almost nothing. Specifically:
- Documents you scan — stored only on your device and your personal iCloud. We never see, access, or upload them.
- Purchase information — processed entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was made. We never see your payment details.
- Crash reports — anonymous crash logs via Apple's standard crash reporting. No personal data included.
- App usage — basic anonymous analytics (number of scans, features used). No identifiers. No tracking.
3. What We Do Not Collect

- × Your contacts
- × Any biometric data
- × Any advertising identifiers
4. iCloud Sync
When you enable iCloud Sync (Pro feature):
- Documents sync via your personal Apple iCloud account
- We have zero access to your iCloud
- Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud: apple.com/legal/privacy
5. Camera Permission
Used only to capture document images. We do not record video. Frames are processed on-device and never transmitted.
6. Photo Library Permission
Accessed only when you tap Import. We never browse your library automatically.
7. Face ID / Touch ID
Used only to unlock protected documents. Biometric data never leaves your device. We never access or store biometric data.
8. Purchases
All purchases handled by Apple App Store. We use Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. No payment data passes through our servers.
9. Data Retention
Your documents: stored on your device until you delete them. Purchase records: managed by Apple. We store nothing on our servers.
10. Children
ScanHonest does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
11. Your Rights (India — GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
